The Man Apron – Men’s and Women’s Apron Pattern


This simple men’s apron pattern is called “The Man Apron” for its a tailored, sturdy design and suitability for being sewn from denim or twill, but it’s a wonderful unisex apron pattern that you can personalize for yourself and everyone on your list by adding a fun fabric to line the apron bib – business on the outside, party on the inside! Choose a favorite fabric print, sport, team, activity, embroidered initials or special message.

Great barbequing or grilling apron, the single divided pocket is easy to sew and useful.

Measurements are provided for all pieces; the main apron is formed from a rectangle and shaped using the 1-page cutaway template provided. Final apron size is one size fits all, approximately 34″ long x 25.5″ wide.

You’ll need:
• Fabric: 1 yard lighter-weight denim or twill recommended (standard 56” wide), cotton quilting fabric can also be used. For 44” wide fabric with directional print, 1.25 yards will be needed. Cutting layout is provided.
• Facing fabric, such as cotton quilting fabric in a fun novelty print, 6” x 12”
• Two 1” metal D-rings, purchase or salvage from an old belt
