What’s a sew-along? It’s an online version of an old-fashioned sewing circle! Beginning November 6, we’ll all sew the same pattern – our quick and fun New York Minute Dress pattern for knits (which has a bonus tutorial for making a NYM top, so those of you with boys or who just want a cute top can participate too) – step-by-step together, over the course of 4 to 5 days, just a few steps per day. We’ll show you tips and tricks along the way, plus exactly how to add sew-along-only extras like how to make your NYM from cotton/lycra blend fabric, a fun scrunch-neck add on, pocket options, and a high-low hem. You’ll get to ask questions and see photos from other participants along the way! In just a few days you’ll have a cozy little New York Minute dress, and you can enter to win some amazing prizes like gift certificates from Cali Fabrics and Imagine Gnats.
The Tie Dye Diva Patterns Facebook Group will be the sew-along hub for information and sharing. The how-to posts will be on the Tie Dye Diva blog, but we will link them daily from the group.
Sound good? Pick up your discounted copy of the New York Minute Dress pattern, join our Facebook group, and start choosing your fabrics – or wait just a bit for our pre-sew-along kickoff information on choosing and combining fabrics!
